8-Day Tour｜Snowy Mountains in Yunnan

Description

Day 01: Kunming

Upon arrival at Kunming Airport from various places, the guide will pick you up with a sign, and then a special car will take you to the featured inn for check-in. The rest of the time is free for you to explore. You can taste local delicacies around the inn to relieve the fatigue of long-distance travel.

Day 02: Dali

Morning: Head to Ideal State, a place full of strong Mediterranean style. Then drive to Wenbi Village, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Erhai Lake and admire the unique local pastoral scenery. Afternoon: Visit Xingsheng Bridge, a magnificent structure spanning
Erhai Lake. Later, go to Dali Ancient City, which boasts a long history and rich cultural heritage. The streets in the city are laid out in a typical checkerboard pattern. Here, you can not only appreciate the traditional architectural style of the Bai ethnic group but also taste various special snacks.

Day 03: Dali

Morning: walk into the Bai ethnic residence to experience the unique architectural art and folk culture of the Bai people. Listen to the Bai people’s playing and singing, make famous Yunnan snacks, and taste various Bai ethnic specialties. Then head to Xizhou Ancient Town, where the Zhuanjiao Building is one of the landmark buildings of the ancient town, with strong ethnic characteristics. Afternoon:roaming along the Erhai Lake Corridor, S-shaped Bay is particularly popular among tourists due to its unique shape. Visitors can ride along the corridor, enjoying the scenery of the Erhai Lake and the surrounding mountains. They can also participate in photo tours, capturing these beautiful moments with their cameras.

Day 04: Dali – Shangri-La

Morning: we visited Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world. The peaks on both sides are steep, and the river water is rushing and turbulent. On the way, we can see large prayer flags, which are a common religious symbol in Tibetan areas. Each time the prayer flag flutters in the wind, it represents a prayer. Afternoon: we will head to Doke Ancient City, a city with a history of over 1,300 years. It was once an important relay station on the ancient Tea-Horse Road.

Day 05: Shangri-La – Lijiang

Morning:visit Songzanlin Temple, the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan, built along the mountain. The Buddha statues inside are solemn, and the murals are exquisite. Then head to Napahai, a seasonal alpine lake, to enjoy the unique plateau wetland scenery.
Afternoon: we will head to Heilongtan, an important water source for the Old Town of Lijiang. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected in the pond, creating a beautiful scene of “snow mountain reflected in the pond”. Then we will proceed to the Old Town of Lijiang, the only ancient city without city walls among China’s historical and cultural cities, which blends the customs of multiple ethnic groups. As night falls, the ancient city is illuminated, and melodious songs emanate from the bars.

Day 06: Lijiang

Morning: we headed to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where snow persists all year round. The thirteen snow peaks stretch endlessly,
resembling a giant dragon. We took the large cableway directly to the Glacier Park to get a close look at the glacial landscape. On the way, we passed by the Blue Moon Valley, which resembles a blue moon embedded at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The Baishui River is named for its white appearance when water flows through it. Finally: we watched “Impression Lijiang”, a large-scale live performance set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, showcasing the ethnic customs of Lijiang. It vividly presented the ancient culture and ethnic spirit of Lijiang.

Day 07: Lijiang

Morning: visit Shuhe Ancient Town, which possesses a more serene and quaint charm than the Old Town of Lijiang, retaining many original Naxi architecture and lifestyles. Yuhu Village boasts beautiful scenery, where you can enjoy delicious tea and snacks on the roof while admiring the magnificent snow-capped mountains. Afternoon: we will head to the Tusi Academy – Jade Pillars Supporting the Sky. There are many natural landscapes and historical relics within the scenic area, and the Tusi Academy has witnessed the historical changes of Lijiang

Day 08: Lijiang – Kunming

Morning: we visited the Grand View Pavilion, which is renowned alongside the Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang
Pavilion. Qianwang Street is a historical and cultural district in Kunming, with the Moon-Facing Tower serving as a landmark within the
district. The Jingxing Flower and Bird Market integrates a variety of products, including flowers, birds, fish, insects, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, as well as specialty snacks. Later: You can go to the airport according to your flight time. If time permits, you can also visit featured blocks such as Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archways and Nanqiang Street, which are great places for leisure and entertainment.
